Oh….. The Things We are not ready for

Brushes, Make Up, and Good Ol Lipstick

Now hang on a sec…

I knew that becoming a mom to a daughter I would eventually have to deal with the make up thing. What I was not ready for is the timing. About a year ago my youngest started dancing and with that came the make up. Now it may seem that I am blaming dance for this early entry into the beauty world, I am definately not. The make up was being used due to recital purposes. Soon after my daughter started playing in make up heavy. It was to the point that we were buying make up sets for christmas. It was then I figured that we may have a little problem on our hands.

Beauty doesn’t sleep

This make up thing had developed into something way bigger. My daughter started to not sleep as much during the night. By the morning she would be wiped out with dark make up from forehead to chin. It was really funny but I had to let her know that this was not okay. We all need sleep or else how could we function and be our best? For a little while I thought that maybe it had worked but of course we still had the occasional rebellion. A lot of people say this happens once a child gets older but I beg to differ.

Fast Forward>>> Stop Live Pink

Now here we are at the age of 5 and we have been without the make up for almost a year and for some crazy reason it’s happening again. Only difference her is that she is a little older and understands a great deal more. I happen to over hear this constant bickering back and forth. Hmmm, I’m going to go see what is all the fussing about. I get in the room only to realize that zanai is wearing lipstick. She looks at me and I look at her, and she asks me “Mommy where is my kitty lipstick”.

Curiously funny

It always strikes me as odd how kids can just overlook the fact that they are wrong and just carry on with the normal. It’s funny yet interesting to me. At this point I’m like okay and just started laughing. No I’m not crazy but it just dawned on me that rather sooner than later this should be addressed. This is my moment, right here right now. Why, what is the harm in leaving them be when the want do play make up? Some people frown upon this but they learn to live with it, after all this is your life.

Don’t let what other people think influence your way of life

Ears Open Let’s Get Grown Up

Oh darling what shall we do with you…

Techy is my middle name

I know that this may not be your first choice, but when you have kids sometimes it’s good to just let loose. Nap times are perfect for whatever your into or just feeling that day. I am a huge fan of call of duty, it’s so much fun almost like getting out of the house talking to people from all over.

I’m not saying bail out

Now I know what you may be thinking this is just some sort of cop out to get out of sex. No and Yes, I know that we as woman are not always in the mood and rather than hurt you spouses feelings just redirecting is a better alternative. This quarantine can be about what you make it, me personally I am taking time to get to know my husband all over again. I want us to be able to connect on a different type of level, not that we already don’t but you get my drift.

I know that by now you are really going through it with your spouse. Not as an argumentative type og going through it but the more loving kind. Yes we are all adults the correct term for it is SEX. I’ve learned that being cooped up with my husband that’s all he thinks about. I’m okay with it but i’m not a bicycle ya know. SO I have come up with different things to do with your spouse other than sex.

Me I would prefer to binge watch on Netflix it makes for a great conversational piece. Sitting her watching a movie with my husband just makes me a chatty kathy. There is so much that you are taking in. I just feel like share, share, share.

What is your take on this specific topic?

I’m no Baby

Not That It Matters But Uh,

Call me weird but I have been pondering about something for quite some time. My daughter is 1 is she a toddler? I mean I am far from one of those moms that counts months. If you were to walk up to me and say my child is 46 I’m going to give you the blank stare. Yes I am one of them. Once zoii started walking I said that’s no baby and I started calling her a toddler.

The age of a toddler

Believe it or not this i a very common question in the motherhood community. Especially the first time moms so you and I, we are not alone. A toddler is a child from 12 to 36 months.

I prefer the easier way 1 to 3 years. So with that in mind my baby is in fact a toddler. It’s not a big deal or anything but this is a milestone for me. Becoming a mom of three I just knew I wouldn’t make it. I knew this wasn’t true but i was simply a thought. A common one I think that most moms deal with.

Expectations Tsk, Tsk

Now that we have established the toddler crisis, are you ready for what comes next? When your child turns one generally you will start to see them do a variety of things. If they are not doing them already.

Glitter, Sparkle 1

At this age you child should be able to

  • sit down without assistance
  • Crawl on both hands and knees (some may even be walking)
  • Pull themselves up utilizing furniture

Are you excited because I definatley am. Need I not say that maybe it’s best for you to baby proof your home. We do not want any sharp corners harming anyone.

Level Up

I don’t know about you but I feel like I just accomplished something great. Random thought it’s not like I haven’t been through this before. It’s just something about being able to relive it has me over the moon.

One Of Those Days

I’m having one of those days where I just want to go go go. Literally I feel like I’m losing my mind. My 10M old is sick and constantly cries all though when she first became sock she didnt cry as much.

Now I feel like every other hour on the hour she’s crying. In some cases there is nothing you can do. This is one of them after you do everything that you could possibly do. After giving your child a remedy you have to literally wait it out and make sure that they are okay.

The anticipation of waiting does not take that long. I think it’s just all in your head. I have always hated sick days because then I feel helpless as if I am not able to help my child. In reality I am helping her by staying by her side until them remedy kicks in which ever solution you may have chosen.
