My Loc Journey: 1 Month Update

a Milestone Worth Celebrating

I don’t know about you but I am simply just ecstatic. As you know I embarked on my loc journey about a month a go now. First, going into this again I knew that it would be a bit tough to get into the swing of things again. I had my doubts but my focus was to make it to a month. That was my short term goal that I started with, and yes I started small. I didn’t want to rush anything or discourage myself in anyway.

Throughout this experience within a month I have learned a great deal on what works for me.

Retwist

I am particularly annoyed by the way my hair tends to look matted. So I have made it a point to retwist my hair every 3-4 weeks tops. This would allow for new growth to grow and be retwisted with my existing locs. It has proven useful for me so far.

Retwist 1 month

My occasional obssessive retwist

Some people say that it is bad to retwist you hair but so much when you are trying to loc your hair. Well everyone doesn’t always have the best of luck when it comes to locking. For instance before my hair started to even loc up it would occasionally untwist itself. This caused me great frustration but I pushed forward. Retwisting my hair more than most but wishing that my locs would stay and now they have.

Products

Diy Hair Overnight Mist

  • Witch Hazel
  • African Pride Oil
  • Water (Avoid for 4C Hair)

I soon realized that this remedy would not be the same as before. When I first attempted this and I sprayed the mist in my hair they immediately began to unravel. Of course I mean today of all days but of course it was okay because I had already planned to retwist.

By eliminating the water I prevent further frizz up unless it’s new growth of course. I moisturize my hair with just a mixture of oil and witch hazel.

Loads of Fun

This journey so far has been amazing. I have met a great deal of new people within the loc community. If you are considering the locs then I would strongly encourage you too. Locs is the best decision I have ever made again that is . (lol) I literally get up in the morning and have to do niothing but my girls hair. This is a win win for me and the kids.

Pothos

As of Late I’ve Been Tangled In My Own Vines

I have been thinking quite a lot about self care as of late. Being stuck in the house with nothing to do makes you wonder. What could you be doing instead. Recently I started studying plants and what they can do. I must admit I am very intrigued.

Pothos| Epipremnum

A species of flowering plant

Benefits

Removes household Toxins from the air within your home. According to a study that was completed the pothos removes the following pollutants

  • carbon monoxide
  • formaldehyde
  • toluene
  • benzene

Maintaining Life

  • Pothos is an indoor plant one in which requires light but not direct sunlight. (It can manage within direct sunlight)
  • Dry soil is best when it comes to this plant between waterings
  • Grows in just about any soil you can think of just as long as it is potting soil.

Water Me

When it comes to watering some of my plants I tend to get on a schedule. Some plants require more attention than others and you want to make sure you don’t over do it. This specific plant I generally only water once a week because I don’t want the soil to moist. This could potentially kill your plant and we don’t want that. So once a week should do.

Growth and Change

Would you believe me if I told you that this plant is a fast grower? Generally these plants can grow to be about 20 x 3 to 6 feet so if you into long and and can withstand temperatures up to 90 degrees. You can take care of this plant in your sleep literally it is easy at that.

Plant Lover Paradise

If you are a plant lover like me then this might be something worth adding to your collection. With the low maintenance it takes to care for a pothos plant. It can basically maintain itself.

Blogging With A Toddler

  • How can I be my best?
  • Scheduling

Have you ever tried blogging with a toddler? This is absolutely no fun for anyone let’s just be 100% on the same page. Then again this is what happens when you try to be productive without having all your ducks in a row. Have you ever heard the term don’t put all your eggs in one basket? Yeah sometimes when I have a lot of things to do I tend to mismanage my time. Take for instance me trying to blog while my toddler is up.

Being My Best

I know, I know what you are probably going to say nap time. See now we are on the same page. I am simply saying that nap time is both the worst and the best part of my day. I have what I would like to call a spontaneous crier she just randomly cries throughout nap times and the night. So I am constantly back and forth from babies room then back to my little blogging heaven. I don’t mind doing this but after a while it can become stressful. Sometimes if I get lucky as I have been for a little while (fingers crossed) then I can create fun and awesome blogs. Being my best means putting my best foot forward so here goes nothing.

Schedule’s Up

In order to avoid these types of barriers I simply have a structured schedule. On a normal day my daughter normally takes her name about 11 or 12, sometimes she fights her sleep. I am always willing to wait, because at the end of the day zoii needs a nap. If I stick to the schedule then I can excel. Having everything in order really helps me to stay on schedule and on top of things. I’m not sure where I would be, probably lost with my head in the clouds.

Anything is possible, when you believe

I know that in the beginning you may feel like you cannot accomplish this. Stop putting yourself down, you are your own worst enemy. Get excited, and motivated about what you are passionate about. Being a parent and working from home can be hard. We have to push ourselves to be better because when no one else is left in your corner all you have is you. So let’s get moving and figure out a way to be productive. Specially here and now with everything that is going on.

How do you work from home?

Quarantined Lazy Bones

But not for long

I don’t know what all this is about, but today I feel like just lounging around the house. It has literally been 2 days now and I feel like time has not moved at all. I think I am starting to be a quarantined zombie. I’ve been kept inside to long. I need an escape , an out of this whole motherhood shit storm. Being stuck in the house with a family of 5, and 3 girls as daughters i can sometimes get rough. I mean the pulling out your hair kind, what am I going to do type of situation.

When in despair yell into the air

My kids have a tendency to become overly bored in an instant. If we do not keep them occupied in some way (I love educational tech) then our day is pretty much going to be rough. We all have our little tricks to get our kids to be quit, especially if your a SAHM and Work From Home. Keep in mind that everyone is different so no judgments here folks. If there is nothing to do they generally begin to play, rough house, argue, and then the inevitable fighting. So I try to be productive and prevent that. Yelling is not a preference of mine, I would rather not here it. Where as dad on the other hand has the ability to ignore it. I’m over her like how are you doing that teach me. I know terrible right.

Cozy Socks and Sweatpants Please

I have been seeing a lot of moms dress up while at home with nothing to do. I would prefer a pair of comfy socks over heels any day. To each it’s own, you guys are still beautiful. I have literally been in this phase where I don’t feel like getting dressed up, I would rather be dressed down and comfy. I get up everyday ready for battle (lol) I just know that today is the day I will get food thrown on me. I have to be ready for literally everything. I am comfortable and messy I can admit, but that the finer things about me I guess. I know most people would be like oh no you need to get up and get dolled up, but I’m rocking the #quarantinedmomlook.

Cook if you must, You Must

The only thing that has not been lazy is my love for cooking, this is done with love no matter if your happy or sad. I have been trying to introduce my kids to a sugar free diet. It has been going great and I have learned quiet a few new dishes, and researching new mexican dishes to introduce. This is also a way I can spend time with my girls, because sometimes they go off on their own and play. I know it’s crazy but when they play by themselves, moms tend to want to interject themselves. (very common).

Quarantined vs. Sanity

I know that through this time things have been hard, if you have kids then you get my drift. The only thing that has been hard for me would be adjusting. Blogging has been my comfort through all of this, starting up my podcast, and being triumphant. This is what is helping me to stay sane at home with my kids. Being able to share with different people about my take on motherhood and real life situations. If you have something that will help you stay focused on then by all means proceed with that. Now would be the perfect time to get a lot of things done.

ADHD and Me

Being a mom is hard but being a Mom with ADHD is even harder. I am a Mom with ADHD, Married to a man with ADHD, and have 2 princesses with ADHD. This is extremely hard and chaotic at times managing and keeping up. However it is possible to manage being a mom with ADHD .

ADHD

Also referred to as attention deficit disorder as it pertains to that of a chronic condition in which a person may have attention difficulty, hyperactivity, and impulsiveness.

A mom with ADHD can edure a variety of different things such as the inability to sit still , losing track of their things, and staying on top of things.

This is not something that we as moms should be ashamed of. Over a period of time we have learned to deal with these barricades, we develop methods as to hos to achieve goals despite theses shortcomings. We all need help from time to time and don’t worry I will help you.

Shortcomings

Moms with ADHD cannot accept boring like boring task on an everyday basis can become exhausting to us. When we have to do task such as these it becomes unbearable, the type of things moms like us would stay away from.

Systems Are Life

Developing systems can be really beneficial and can really help, when you develop a system that is beneficial and created by you it really becomes easy and enjoyable to do.

Say for instance I am not a stickler when it comes to laundry but very picky at times in the order in which I do them. I do what works for me, so laundry is done on fridays, I tend to wash the girls clothes first, then mine and my husbands.

Beneficial Habits

Developing habits can be useful but hard so start with one at a time. Establish a habit and start small, for instance making your bed. This will help you and teach you children a good habit as well.

Strategies for You

I know this may be had being as though you little ones come first but you must find a way to help you focus in your day to day life. I utilize color coding to help me accomplish my goals and stay on track. When I write a list i use a variety of colors always consistent with my tasks on a daily basis.

You Matter Too

Sometimes strategies can be tedious and you need to throw something in the mix to give you that extra umph. Listening to music while you get tasks done can be a motivational inspiration to keep you going.

The Natural Way

Most people would prefer not to be on medication and believe that they can manage their ADHD by themselves. This is very well possible when you do your research. I utilize melatonin to help me relax and wind down because sometimes it is hard for me to get to sleep. It comes in different textures and can be found mixed with epsom salt for baths.

Dr. Teals has a very good line and the have both the liquid for as well as the epsom salt reasonably priced I might add.

Food For Thought

Being a mom can be overwhelming especially when you have ADHD and so it is best to find somethings that will benefit you and help you be a calm mom. What are somethings that help you with you ADHD as a Mom?

Keeping Kids Busy

If your a stay at home mom then you may know the feeling f being unable to work and have your kids around. It simply just cannot be done, or can it. In most cases if we need something we will find a way to get it done in this case working from home can be frustrating to both you and your child not unless you gain a strategy as to how to keep them busy while you work.

Here we are going to come up with a couple of ways to help mom be more productive and get more done. Having something to distract your child is always the way to go plus it will allow you to focus with less anxiety.

Keeping Them Busy

  • Make Time for Play Time
  • Create a Space for them
  • Add Technology Into The Mix
  • Throw Backs
  • Always be Prepared

Play Time

I know that working to make an income, but spending time with your child is more important and it allows you to make a better bond. Obtain a schedule to map out play time and when it will be. Make time for what is important.

Creating Space

You will want a designated place for your child to play being as though you don;t want them to go from room to room wreaking havoc and making a mess. Let them know that this is their area, say for instance if you are working in the living room place your child somewhere within that room. This allows you to have space, and them allowing you to keep an eye on them as they play.

My daughter is 5 and she is very very busy so when I start to work I make sure that she is always in the same room with me and she has an activity to keep her occupied and focused.

The Wonders of Tech

I know we as moms don’t like the fact that this whole generation is being raised solely on technology now so when people suggest technology you like nope. I was kind of like that too until I started researching. If your a mom like me then you want you kid to be productive on technology so I strongly advise you to find learning sites.

ABC Mouse is Good (Only Go’s To Age 7) Teaches your children a great deal of thing including how to read this is something that parents should look into. I love you tube but not so much for my kids because not all content is for them.

ABCya! Is another good one but this site is mainly focused towards the older children K-5

Throw Backs

Remember when you were younger and your mom use to find ways to keep you occupied so she would get ideas maybe about crafts, workbooks, or coloring. These are what I like to call throwbacks, some of the things that you can share with your children.

Always Have a Back Up

When all else fails what can you rely on to keep your child focused and having fun so that you can continue to work. Always think of something else, something is better than nothing having a back up can make it easier for you and your child they will never get.

Nothing is ever as hard as it seems but if you take the time and gather different ideas so that you will be able to work then you will be A-Okay. You can find a wide variety of different activities in general and on pinterest.

Packing An Overnight Bag

A lot of people have said to me I am so overwhelmed because I am anxious for my baby but nervous at the same time. How will this process go, what should I bring for my hospital stay. That right there is the million dollar question. Everyone is different and so you wants may be different but your necessities will remain the same.

What Will I Need

I know what you thinking well what would you need exactly, what is an absolute necessity when it comes to Labor and Delivery. Don’t worry I am going to help you so that you aren’t one of those moms who buys everything. It almost puts me in the mind of the Luvs commercial you know “baby one and then baby two”. Okay but enough about that here’s what you will absolutely need.

Baby

  • Swaddle
  • Hat
  • Car Seat & Base
  • Blanket
  • 1st Day Home Outfit
  • Footed Sleepers

Swaddle

This is a blanket but not just any blanket, this is the blanket that moms absolutely love. Why is this you may ask? It allows you to cuddle your baby without physically doing it. The blanket allows your baby to feel as though he\she is still in your arms. (The cuddle method but without mom)

Hat

The hat is to keep the babies head warm obviously but also food for thought how do you think your baby would feel without one. Generally your hospital may even provide you with the colorful knit hats.

Car Seat & Base

This is of the upmost importance because your baby cannot travel let alone leave the hospital without one. The car seat and the base provides you child comfort while protecting your baby as well. Be very careful when it comes to your travel system you want safety so I encourage you to read reviews. Here are a couple of safe and affordable choices for Mom.

Play it Safe Not Sorry

Amazon’s Top Picks

Blanket

A blanket to keep your baby warm aside from his\her spanking new get up

1st Day Home

Yes, moms this is the best part aside from having your little one, dressing them up. We as moms get over the moon excited when we go baby shopping, I mean come on you get to dress up a little you that seems like loads of fun. A lot of people seem to think that this is not important but it is, we want our little ones to look there best for there arrival home to meet the family.

Footed Sleepers

These are moms best friend because who wants to deal with those pesky socks, and you want to ensure that your child is warm all around. We want to prevent having a sick baby.

What about mom?

  • Essential papers
  • Comfy Socks
  • Robe (Optional)
  • Outfit
  • Comfy Shoes
  • Nursing Bra
  • Breast Pads
  • Nipple Cram (Breastfeeding)
  • Snacks
  • Slippers
  • Heating Pad

Essential papers

When you get to the hospital you still will have to be checked in prior to being seen. You will need you demographics such as you id, insurance card, and anything else they may require for you.

Comfy socks

We all love that warm snug feeling on our feet when we are cold or just to simply utilize for movement. These are a must after you have your little one those warm socks will become your best friends.

Robe

This is not an absolute must but some moms prefer to have robes when getting up out of the bed, and some woman don’t. This is exclusively up to you as to whether or not you need this.

Outfit

Now after being in the hospital for days and days after delivering your little one you will be confined to your pj’s for a period of time, you will want to get out of them asap. So this is where you outfit comes into play this is your comfy I had a baby clothes, and trust me you will need this unless your traveling with Pj.

Comfy Shoes

After you have a baby sometimes your feet will hurt especially if you gained a little fluid due to your baby. You are going to walk around in comfy shoes that will really support you foot.

Nursing Bra

Nursing bra’s are mainly for my mama’s that breastfeed and word to the wise moms I would get a bra that benefits you. Amazon has some good choices and you can check the reviews but do you research you want stability, comfort, and access.

Breast Pads

These bad boys are worth every penny they prevent your breast from leaking, I mean who wants a messed up blouse. Think of it this way which is cheaper yet efficient, which way will cost you more money, right so we are on the same page.

Nipple Cream

This provides you with comfort for your girls, breastfeeding can be hard on a mother. Trust me you are going to want this. There are a different variety of items so check the kind that is a preference for you.

Here Are Some Good Choices

Snacks

We all get hungry during our overnight stay in the hospital and sometimes we have no patience. Waiting on a nurse can be tedious but some moms prefer this, having snacks on hand will cure those late night cravings.

Slippers

These are a neccessity being as though you will be traveling from you bed to the bathroom more frequently over a period of time of your stay. Walking on the bare floor can be cold and disgusting having slippers on hand can be very beneficial.

Heating Pad

We all need a little heat from time to time especially afters we have a baby our bodies will be moving around causing discomfort. Having a heating pad can give you comfort if you don’t like taking medicine, or if you are simply cold.

Becoming a mom is a huge deal, feeling secure that you have everything you need for your big day that gives you a sense of comfort and security. So being prepared is you best best to give yourself a peace of mind.

4-5 years Never Better

So here’s the thing I became a mom of a 5 year old overnight.

Happy 5th Birthday Zanai
In This Blog You Will Find
  • What do you call a five year old?
  • Is a 5th birthday a milestone?
  • What can a child do around this particular age
  • What to teach them at 5

Panic Mode

Okay so I know that we as parents all have to go through the stages of our children growing up. No one is ever ready despite what they say. However truth be told I am never ready for my kids to grow, I am literally that mom in the background crying when my kids turns another year old. I know in some cases this may not be normal but I can’t see my life without my kids but now as I sit here and type what will I do when they become teens? Okay i’m over thinking this but I’know this is reality.

What do you call a five year old?

I never know what to call my kids as they get older there are so many names now. For instance

  • 3-5 years would be considered a preschooler or a young child
  • 5-12 years would be referred to as a school age child
  • 5-14 is a child
  • However 10-13 years would be called a preteen

The Milestone Reality

If your sitting there thinking to yourself okay there is no way that becoming 5 means that you are at a milestone of great importance.

Could it be?

Of Course!

This is just around the time that your child is getting into school and making new friends. Yes, friends the friendly faces that you can invite to their birthday and have mom time too with other moms. This is such a win, win if you ask me. All of this will cause a great deal of excitement in your child as well as their peers.

But wait there’s more!

What can my child do at 5

Well 5 is kind of the same as four but it just gets better from here they tend to become much more active, social, and responsible. So lets cove some of the things that you can look forward to with your 5 year old. These can be found in either Cognitive or Movement Milestones.

Cognitive

Focusing on a child’s development in terms of information processing, conceptual resources, perceptual skill, language learning, and other aspects of the developed adult brain and cognitive psychology.

Movement Milestones

These are often referred to as “motor development;”

https://images.app.goo.gl/JxLzSmdWvAWwXGnL7

Don’t feel bad if you don’t know what these terms are fear not most people don’t and that’s okay. So now that we have a mutual understanding on what these terms mean we are now better able to understand in it’s entirety let’s get into it shall we.

Cognitive

  • Recognize majority of letters and possibly write their name
  • Have a better understanding of the concept of time and structure of daily activities, like breakfast in the morning, lunch in the afternoon, and dinner at night
  • Able to focus more
  • Follow two- to three-part commands.
  • Recognize familiar word signs, such as “Yes and No”
  • Know’s residency if taught

Movement Milestones

  • Stand on one foot for more than 5 seconds
  • Hop
  • Walk up and down stairs by themselves
  • Walk forward and backwards with ease
  • Peddle
  • Able to make and trace shapes
  • Stack 6 or more blocks
  • Use utensils

What do I teach them at 5?

Around this time with all the new things that is going on with your active 5 years old there is still more that can be crammed in there as well. For instance Values, these are very important it builds character.

Important Values

  • Honesty
  • Justice
  • Determination
  • Consideration
  • Love

Honesty

Image result for honesty

Help them find a way to tell the truth.

Only with honesty can we Grow

In order for your child to be honest you have to be honest that’s the honest truth. Have you ever heard the term

“Teach what you Preach”

before? It may not mean anything but it simply mean that if I tell my child to tell the truth and I don’t how can I expect anything but what I am teaching them. There is not a kill switch here when you have kids you have to be on you P’s and Q’s because they pick up and imitate everything.

This is very important because if they are not honest now later on the issue could spiral out of control.

“Better to be safe than sorry”

Justice

Simply for children to make amends. If two children are having a disagreement things can be bad right then and there but later on down the line who wants all that built up tension? Children should not have to worry about fighting uneccessary battles at this age but rather to just be a kid.

Determination

Image result for determination

Encouraging them to take on a challenge can be somewhat of beneficial for them being as though they will want to press on. Determination in a nutshell is just doing what needs to be done whether you want to or not. Pushing through is the concept teaching them how to be fighter and to not just give up.

Consideration

(Thinks about others feelings before making irrational decisions. Sometimes kids say the awkwardest things but it’s our job as parents to help them stay on a healthy sociable path. Children do not neccessarily have a filter they simply say what comes to mind so why fault them. Instead of getting upset teach them to have consideration for other people.

For instance if two children Amy and Derek are having a dispute and Amy insults Derek. Although she may not know that this is hurtful and that it had an effect on her friend she unknowingly keeps going. Now how can we tell right off hand how a person feels we don’t but actions speak louder than words. Being considerate in this moment would be to apologize and next time be mindful of the words that you choose because they can become misconstrued.

Love

We all love our children of course but we need to take time to reciprocate back on the affections that they display towards us. When your child gives you a hug make sure that when you feel the urge to hug them you do so. It’s just simply letting you child know that you are here and you care a great deal.

I am aware that although you may feel s though you have the ability to get through this milestone or the the 5 year old blues and you very well can. We all can because we have so much help and a variety of resources to help us and our families. So in short do not ever think that you are alone.

Survival is the Concept

There are an array of things that moms go through but none ideal as to what awaits them when the become stay at home moms. Not that this is a bad thing and majority of the time this is a choice in which a mom has chosen this route. She feels that their are more benefits vs. the way she has been currently living. When you become a stay at home mom just like any other job but without the SANITY in a sens.

Yes you gave up you 9 – 5 because:

  • You want to raise you children
  • Educate them in depth the way you want
  • Have more bonding time
  • Or you simply want to do you own thing and just be a mom

The reasons are infinite but with the pros you best bet is that the cons are not that far behind.

What does it mean to become a stay at home Mom?

We have already addressed some reasons as to why you may want or become a stay at home mom. On the other hand there is a bigger picture here.

  • Losing your identity. You were a bright and vibrant woman who always kept herself up now your wearing pj’s with banana nut squash on it.
  • Missing adult interaction: Not being able to hang put with your friends on you lunch break, Not really leaving the house unless you have to
  • Financial dependence on another: Having to depend on you spouse to obtain the finances that you may have
  • Answering unnecessary questions: What made you become a stay at home mom?, you don’t miss going to work everyday?

This is what you should consider when you become a stay at home mom, now if your like me you simply don’t care because this was a good decision based off of my family and income. No matter what your reasons are if you can get through this then you got it. Disregard the baby and yet keep moving, keep inspiring others when they ask “Do you like being a stay at home mom?”

I love it but that’s just me I have endured 2 if not all things listed above and I am steadfast about my decision, why because I am m e and what matters at the end of the day is my family.

How do you as a SAHM survive?

There are days when I just want throw the towel in and lock myself in my room but some of us don’t have that luxury and so we have to bite the bullet and deal. When I first started this journey I kept thinking to myself I cant do this. There would be times when I would call my husband overwhelmed and upset because everything was chaos. But once I got the hang of it I found that as long as I have a structured plan then my day would stop being so hectic. It’s really simple if I can do it then so can you.

Steps to How I Survive

  • Get you a game plan ready the night before….
  • Grab a little bit of fresh air take an outing…
  • Look for free things such as museums or the aquariam …
  • Exchange your number with other mom don’t be scared this can lead to play dates, social interaction for both you and your child|ren….
  • Exercise. …
  • Do something for yourself once per week (at least), engage in a want it’s okay you have earned it. …
  • Make the time you spend with your kids memorable

This also goes hand in hand with patience and I can honestly say that I lacked this very detail. I know that when I had my children I had to learn this concept really fast, kind of a sink or swim ordeal. I chose to swim because my kids and family mean the world to me.

Lacking Patience?

How can I be a patient mom is what I used to ask myself and each time I fell short even after I heard my first daughter it was smooth sailing. As she got older however I found that I was becoming extremely overwhelmed very fast. This is not a good trait to possess and so I decided that I was going to fix it because nothing god could come from that. It would just lead me down a road of self destruction. So lets figure out how we can be more productive in becoming patient.

  • Count to 10. (gives you a chance to step back from the situation)
  • Deep breaths
  • What would mom do? …
  • Weigh out you options…(How does this help?)
  • Take a break.
  • Laugh

Counting

Now when I say counting there is no right and wrong way to do this it’s as simply as it sounds but the overall outcome is that it works. It’s kind of like while you are counting you meditating, making sure that while you are counting you are also remaining calm.

Deep Breath…

Take a minute to step back from the situation and take deep deep breaths before just reacting this gives you time to analyze the situation, weighing the good and the bad outcomes.

What would Mom do?

Now be rational because you are a mom and your not just going to go off the rails and start throwing a tantrum. You have to be rational as if it was ever a choice. So ask yourself again “What Would Mom DO?

Find a Solution, Act on a Teachable Moment

Life’s lessons are what stay embedded in our children even after we are gone so embrace them with open arms knowing that instead of yelling you made the right decision as a MOM.

Weighing the good and the bad?

We all have choices but it’s the choices you make that will affect you forever. Make a mental list of the good and the bad and what would be your best possible outcome for the decision at hand.

Should I take a break?

Hmmm, should you take a break well geez let me think. A lot of people say that your a mom you don’t get or need breaks. A mom is sometimes discussed as an around the clock type job, you don’t have free time when you became a mom you gave that all up.

Well I beg to differ I am a mom of 3 and I take breaks if and when I need them. I’m not saying your having a bad day and the kids have drilled you down and you are on your last leg you just lock yourself in you bedroom. Simply ask your significant other if they can lend a helping hand. Or lay your children down for a map, I am a firm believer in naps. Why, you may ask because that’s my time to just be me not mom just for an hour out of they day. If you follow the tips i’m sharing then this may be rarely used.

Laugh out Loud…

We sometimes forget that we are all human and each of us has an imperfection somewhere but we are not as perfect as we may thing. We are in fact imperfect in a sense so In saying so things do happen, sometimes you just have to embrace it. Like your toddler sees his grandparents through a glass and runs into the glass. Although you may be scared that they are hurt you have to laugh because it doesn’t occur to you yet how the glass was not seen.
